DATA
RESULTS AND DISCUSSION
13 June 2013, south of Java (M 6.8)
Discussion 7 aftershocks within 24 hours. Maximum travel-time residual (O-C): P wave relocation: 1.0 s P and S wave relocation: 1.4 s (5 stations with S readings) Confirmed the fault plane: Global CMT (293°, 53°), BMKG (303°, 46°), and SWIFT-NIED (272°, 30°) Rupture length: P and S wave relocation: ~30 km
2 July 2013, Northern Sumatra (M6.2)
Discussion
6 July 2013, Southern Sumatra (M 6.1) 14 aftershocks within 24 hours. Maximum travel-time residual (O-C): P wave relocation: 0.7 s P and S wave relocation: 0.7 s (4 stations with S readings) Confirmed the nodal plane with NW-SE strike is the fault plane Rupture Process: Unilateral northwestward. Rupture length: P wave relocation: ~24 km, P and S wave relocation: ~20 km
Discussion
1 September 2013, Banda Sea (M 6.4)
Discussion No immediate aftershock. Five aftershocks within a week. Maximum travel-time residual (O-C): P wave relocation: 1.0 s P and S wave relocation: 1.0 s (2 stations with S readings) Could not determine the fault plane.
