Notes:- 1.      The design engineer may choose values of importance factor I greater than those mentioned above 2.      Building not covered in SL i) and ii) may be designed for higher value of I depending on economy ,strategy considerations like multi-story buildings having several residential units 3.      This does not apply to temporary structures like excavations , scaffolding etc of short duration.
