NZS1170-5 is the code that specifies the seismic design actions (i.e. demand) for buildings. To meet the prescribed demand, design and detailing of buildings are performed using the corresponding structural standards; i.e. NZS3101 for Concrete buildings, NZS3404 for Steel buildings and NZS3604 for light timber-frame houses. |
