Questionnaire on IISEE training program

4. Please give us any opinions on our Information Network Project described on. (types of information, forms of utilization that should be considered, etc.)

  1. It is very interesting and useful. (Argentina)
  2. This information sheet is good to get any information relative to Earthquake Disaster Mitigation efforts (Indonesia)
  3. I think this project will enable us to exchange knowledge, data and experiences with other countries. (Indonesia)
  4. Placed two or more stations of the project in Africa, in the goal to collect the data. Associated all ex-participants to their project. Organize regular training of the management of the network in their country. (Guinea)
  5. I believe that is very good idea, because will be very easy to have information about seismology and earthquake engineering of different countries in just one place. (Costa Rica)
  6. I think this is very important to know about the IISEE work specially in developing countries where we have many kind of natural disaster. It is important the support you give to the researcher. (Colombia)
  7. Absolutely agree with the project. The contents listed covers all aspects that I can think of. (Thailand)
  8. "Information Network Project" is very good for exchange the information and knowledge . It is a nice chance for me. (China)
  9. Earthquake disaster rescue technologies will be very helpful. (China)
  10. Very useful and appropriate methodology. It is interesting to compare the methods used in many countries because I saw one country only uses their own methodology. (Chile)
  11. Technical information can be found only at the Universities. For contacting people related to this field, you may contact ACHISINA, earthquake engineering and seismologist association, President: Marcial Baeza. (Chile)
  12. Data relating to slip rate, vertical and horizontal displacements observed at surface. surface in case of ground rupture. (Pakistan)
  13. Non-Seismologists but helping in disaster mitigation. (Pakistan)
  14. Very good idea, other things which can be included are Technical Reports, structural test reports, latest developments in type of materials, devices etc. (Fiji)
  15. I think this is a very good project if new developments on disaster mitigation will be available on the web, including practical training or guidelines that would really involve the participants. (Philippines)
  16. Supporting the Project ideas. (Bulgaria)
  17. I think is better give more information by technical cooperation by IISEE and other institutions, and also maintained contact, for see your new advanced in the seismology field. We have interesting in do same project together, for example in the Central Andean Part also maintained contact, for see your new advanced in the seismology field. We have interesting in do same project together, for example in the Central Andean Part. (Bolivia)
  18. It might be useful for IISEE for better knowing and understanding the situation in each of our countries. Comparisons between different countries based on such data might be difficult (see for example the Understanding Urban Seismic Risk around the World - HAZUS/IDNDR). In some cases, it might help for regional cooperation between countries. But such database should also include similar information from earthquake exposed developed countries. Their example and cooperation would be of big help for developing countries. (Romania)
  19. I appreciate your initiative to release this kind of project which will contribute to the strengthening of the cooperation between researchers from all over the world. At the same time the project will facilitate the access the information and the exchange of information essential for the disaster mitigation problem. (Romania)
  20. Very Interesting but little difficult to get information from our Countries unless we belong to the directive staff members of our national institutions. (Peru)
  21. It interesting us. Because Mongolia is seismic active region. So we like to participate for this project. (Mongolia)
  22. This is a good project that will keep us inform and updated particularly on significant events.
This will also strengthen information exchange. (Philippines)
  23. I wish it works fine, in third world or developing countries the information gathering is a major task and it is usually much harder than the scientific challenges itself. I wish you luck. (Iran)
  24. History of the Institute, the name and the countries of attendants, education program, lecturers, etc. (Turkey)
  25. I think it is a great project, and it will be very useful in the future. (Syria)
  26. Indexes of internet address with late information. (Colombia)
  27. I believe setting up such an Information Network will be extremely useful to developing countries because it will provide free and easily accessible source of multiple types of data and references. Such information will facilitate the work of local instate. (Costa Rica)
  28. This information sheet is good to get any information relative to Earthquake Disaster Mitigation efforts. (Indonesia)
  29. This is as good works for data collecting and communication among alumnus or ex-participant ex-IISEE Participants. (Indonesia)
  30. I think, the information is sufficient. (Iran)
  31. Please let us share the information gathered by the Information Network Project. (Korea)
  32. It is a good project. I think that types of information, forms of utilization are right. But, IISEE should have closer cooperation with the organization which belong the ex-participants. (Madagascar)
  33. The project is okay as it is. (Malawi)
  34. This is a very nice idea to launch the project because the ex-participants can gather information of our interest from a common platform of IISEE. I wish a great success for this project. (Nepal)
  35. Information mentioned on "read me" are sufficient. (Pakistan)
  36. On-line publication of the recent results of seismological researches from the international community. (Philippines)
  37. This is a good project that will keep us inform and updated particularly on significant events.
This will also strengthen information exchange. (Philippines)
  38. Latest news and update the current events, and the past earthquake (EQ) in each country (especially EQ information of participants countries) included possibility of Big EQ. (Thailand)
  39. It would be very useful. (Uzbekistan)
