Wt: Total of the gravity loads Wi above the level of the lateral restraint

 

C: Basic seismic coefficient
(Note: This value shall be determined from Fig.1 for the appropriate site subsoil category using the fundamental structural period.)

Z: Seismic zone factor (See Fig.2)
I: Importance factor (See Table 1)
K: Structural performance factor (See Table 2)

Note: The response spectrum method is also accepted.
