Action 7:

Promotion of ground motion observation network and the data sharing

1) BRI developed a search system for data of strong motion observation in FY 2008 and opened the data through its web-site.

2) Data of CISMID (Peru) and NCSRR (Romania) also are available through IPRED web-site as well as the results of strong motion data.

Action 8:

Training of trainers through the IISEE follow-up trainings, follow-up workshops, etc.

1) BRI conducted a follow-up training of IISEE training at the seventh General Assembly of Asian Seismological Commission (7ASC in Tsukuba) in July 2008.

2) BRI attended a workshop in Uzbekistan and followed up the activity of ex-participants in January, 2012, as a part of the cooperation project stemming from the training course on "Seismology, Earthquake Engineering and Disaster Management Policy".

3) BRI accepted researcher from CISMID (Peru) in March, 2012, and trained in shaking table test of masonry structure.

IISEE conducted Pre-Symposium Training Course of ASC2008 (Microtremor Array Exploration Technique)

Action 9:

Development of the portal website

1) BRI opened a portal site of UNESCO project and added information successively.

2) A portal site of UNESCO was linked with BRI portal site. The linkage makes it possible to link the database of IISEE-NET (Information Network on Earthquake Disaster Prevention Technologies), IISEE Alumni Website, strong motion observation, lecture notes and e-learning system of BRI with UNESCO portal site.
