The Opening Ceremony of the Global Seismological Observation Training Course
was held at the JICA Tsukuba from 11:30 to 12:00 on Tuesday, January 19, 2016.

3. Support to JICA training program in Chile
By Dr. Tatsuya Azuhata, Chief Research Engineer of IISEE
The technical cooperation project concerning the Disaster Risk Reduction
Training Program for Latin America and the Caribbean has been started based
on an agreement between the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA)
and the Chilean International Cooperation Agency (AGSI) since April 2015.
