1. 2017-18 Earthquake Engineering Training Course

In 1962, Building Research Institute took over International Earthquake Engineering Training Course
which was first carried out at the Tokyo University in 1960.

2. Visit to Honjo Life Safety Learning Center and International Disaster Prevention
By Mr. Mr.Tappei Hara, Administrative oficial of Training and General Affairs, Administration Division, IISEE
On October 12th, we visited Life Safety Learning Center, so called Honjo-Bosai-Kan in Japanese
in Tokyo Fire Department as part of their training program and had a variety of experiences such as
strong ground motion, submerged vehicle,firefighting and heavy storm.
