1. HANAMI -Cherry Blossom Viewing-

This year, cherry blossoms which are located around IISEE started blooming
pale pink flowers around March 20th. The Hanami (Cherry blossom viewing) season
is one week earlier than last year.

2. Introduction of personal changes

As of March 31, Mr. Mizuo Inukai and Mr. Tappei Hara were transferred
to National Institute for Land and Infrastructure Management (NILIM)

3. Greetings from New IISEE Staff
By Dr. Saeko Kita, Senior Research Scientist of IISEE
I am Saeko Kita, who is a seismologist. I have moved from Hiroshima University
to BRI in this month. In Hiroshima University, I teach several classes and have two
undergraduate students for two years.

Dr. Saeko KITA, A Senior Research Scientist of IISEE, was awarded
The Young Scientists` Prize.

5. Participants of 2018 Latin American Earthquake Engineering course have decided

Latin American Earthquake Engineering course will start next month.
There were 31 applicants from 9 countries
