1. Final Presentation

Participants in the Regular course had been carried out individual studies with their
professors in various places in Japan to write the master thesis from May 21st.

2. Overseas supplementary training program for Latin America Earthquake Engineering course in 2018

in 2018 was held in El Salvador between 7/16 and 7/27.

3. Closing Ceremony of the 5th Latin American Earthquake Engineering course

On July 27 in the morning I attended the closing ceremony of “Latin American Earthquake Engineering”
Course held in the hall “Salon Mesoamerica” of Hotel Crown Plaza located in San Salvador, Republic
of El Salvador, where we welcomed the distinguished guests:

4. Visit to Indonesia for promotion of IISEE training courses

Shibazaki and Fujii visited Japan Embassy, the JICA Office, Indonesian Agency for Meteorology,
Climatology and Geophysics (BMKG), and School of Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics of
Indonesia (STMKG) in Jakarta (Indonesia), from July 1 (Sun) to July 5 (Thu).
