By Mr. Takahiro Yamada, Head of Administration Division, IISEE The opening ceremony of Earthquake engineering training course for young researchers and Engineers were held at JICA on Wednesday, Oct 2nd and the 1year course has started. Please see the Newsletter attached on page 1&2.
By Mr. Sho Hamano, Adiministrative of Training and General Affairs, Administration Division, IISEE IISEE participants and I visited the Edo Tokyo museum on Oct 11th before noon. We learned the history from the 17th century of the Shogunate era, where Tokyo was called Edo. Please see the Newsletter attached on page 2.

Shafiul Islam from Tohoku University and held the IISEE seminar entitled "Rapid Seismic Evaluation Method and Strategy for Seismic Improvement of Existing Reinforced Concrete Buildings in Developing Countries."

By Mr. Takahiro Yamada, Head of Administration Division, IISEE Mr. Michael LINTHON, who completed “Seismology, Earthquake Engineering, and Tsunami Disaster Mitigation” course and returned to his home country Ecuador last month, gave a presentation at the Disaster Risk Management Seminor in Ecuador.
