1. We are Looking for the Activities of Ex-Participants for our Newsletter Articles

Please send us a 300-word article on how the training helped you and what kind of work you are currently doing and include some photos.

We would like to publish examples of ex participants’ activities in our newsletter. We look forward to receiving your articles.

2. Interim Presentations held on July 3 and 7

On July 3 and 7, interim presentations were held for the E and ST courses. At the interim presentations,

all participants will present their individual study results to date.

3. IISEE Receives JAPAN Construction International Award -International Human Resource Development Program to Expand Japanese Knowledge Worldwide Recognized-

By Dr. Bunichiro Shibazaki, Director of IISEE

 

The Building Research Institute (BRI) received the 6th JAPAN Construction International Award (Pioneering Activity Category)

from the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism on June 20 in recognition of its Disaster Management Policy Program

as an international human resource development program that spreads Japanese knowledge throughout the world.

4. Visit by a Delegation from the Kingdom of Thailand and Training Guidance by IISEE

On Wednesday, June 7, we received a delegation of 15 members, including the Ministry of the Interior of the Kingdom of Thailand,

mediated by the International Affairs Section of the Planning Department, BRI.

5. Visit of Ex-Participants from Indonesia to the IISEE

The ex-participants, Mr. Iman Fatchurochman (2010-2011 Seismology course), Mr. Arif Nurokhim (2019-2020 Tsunami Disaster Mitigation course), and Ms. Kian Purna Sinki (2020-2021 Tsunami Disaster Mitigation course) from Indonesia visited the IISEE on the 8th in June.

6. Introduction of Personal Changes

On July 1, Mr. Takahiro Yamada was transferred to National Information Security Center.
