1. Sympathy for the Victims of the Earthquakes in Colombia and Indonesia

It is with great sadness that the extensive damage was caused by the deep earthquake (M7.4) that struck Colombia on August 10, 2026 (UTC), as well as the earthquake (M7.7) that struck Flores Island, Indonesia, on August 14, 2026 (UTC).

7. (Short Report) Tsukuba Chibikko Hakase 2026

In Tsukuba Science City, where the BRI is located, an event called “Tsukuba Chibikko Hakase is held during the summer vacation for elementary and junior high school students, allowing them to learn while having fun as they visit about 40 research institutions and facilities.
