1. IISEE Annual Training Course was closed
The 49th Annual Training on Seismology, Earthquake Engineering and Tsunami
Disaster Mitigation courses (so called Regular Course) cooperated with GRIPS
and JICA, which started on October 2nd last year was closed on September
18th. The 22 participants from 11 countries were awarded master's degree in
disaster management. As of September 18th, the total number of
ex-participants of IISEE reaches 1,404 from 96 countries and regions. After
returning to their own countries, they are expected to play active roles in
the fields of seismology, earthquake engineering and tsunami disaster
mitigation.
