Detail

1. Master's degree to regular course participants

Our long-time dream has come true. From the 2005-2006 regular course started in October 2005, the master’s degree “Master of Disaster Mitigation” will be awarded to the participants who have taken more than 30 credits in lecture subjects, study-trips and individual studies, and submit master’s reports, which fulfill the level of the master’s degree. This is realized in cooperation with National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS). Since the master’s degree is awarded after only one year training, we believe it will provide great incentive for young people to participate in this program.

2. 2005-2006 regular course starts

The opening ceremony of the 2005-2006 regular course was held with the executives of BRI and TBIC attending at TBIC on October 5. The entrance ceremony of the master’s program was also held at National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS) on the following day, October 6. Now it is the start of the new course with the master’s program.
