4. Introduction of IISEE staff members

We have a request from one of IISEE ex-participants (Mr. Muhammad
Hafeez BUTT, Pakistan, 1977-78 S-course) who wish to know about
IISEE staff members in Newsletter. So, this time we would like to introduce
Dr. Koichi MORITA who is in charge of course leader of Earthquake
Engineering Course.

I joined IISEE in 2011 and I am a course leader of engineering course since then.
Before coming IISEE, I was in charge of several lectures and supervised three
individual studies, so I understood part of IISEE activities. Last year, I had an
opportunity to read all lecture notes of E course to check the overlapping and
reconsider the curriculum. I re-realized such an excellent and dense training
course is in BRI. I would like to do my best to make more attractive course.

Koichi MORITA
Chief Research Engineer, IISEE
