1. EU Workshop on Earthquake Engineering Research Infrastructures by SERIES with US-NEES

Inukai participated in the SERIES Concluding Workshop - Joint with
US-NEES "Earthquake Engineering Research Infrastructures" in May 29 and
30, 2013. It is because of the refreshment in the old friendship of the
collabora-tion between BRI and EU, Joint Research Centre, Institute for
the Protection and Security of the Citizen, European Laboratory for
Structural Assessment Unit from 1995 to 2005.

2. Joined the UNESCO/IPRED Meeting in Lima Peru

By Dr. Toshiaki Yokoi & Dr. Toshihide Kashima of IISEE
The 6th session of "International Platform for Reducing Earthquake
Disasters (IPRED)", etc. held at the Centro Peruano Japones de
Investigaciones Sismicas y Mitigacion de Desastres (CISMID) Facultad de
Ingenieria Civil - FIC Universidad Nacional de Ingenieria, Lima, Peru,
and we stayed there from 4 to 8 June 2013.

3. To Support us, IISEE Curriculum Committee Held

The IISEE Curriculum Committee is organized to assist IISEE staff
with giving practical advice on the training program and its activities.
The committee is comprised of 18 members who are university
professors and researchers of public organs.

4. Program with Participants;General Meeting & Friendship Party

Participants have started the individual studies from the first of June
for 3 months after the 8-month-class lessons in IISEE. On May 31, we
had a general meeting which is set for frank talking between
participants and staff members. JICA and GRIPS members also joined it.
